SUMMARY:Christmas at the Lighthouse Member Tour #2
DESCRIPTION:This is what you have been waiting for:  our “Christmas In July” convoy to the lighthouse! When we had our Christmas In July fundraiser at the Rising Tide Tap & Table\, ½ of the activity was advertised as a trip to the lighthouse over the holidays.  We have a lot of new members from that fundraiser so we decided to pick two dates to ensure all who want to convoy out\, including our established members and brick owners\, will have the opportunity.  Therefore\, you have your option of two dates: you can choose either 21 December or 28 December.   Both will be late afternoon convoys so we can see the lights come on at the top of the tower.  Just let me know which date you prefer when you reserve your space.  It’s always fun to celebrate at the lighthouse!  There may even be some gingerbread cookies to enjoy.     \nThis will be a sunset tour to enjoy seasonal lights at the lighthouse.  We will meet at the Space Florida/Space X/Sands Missile Museum parking lot between 4:15p.m. and 4:30p.m.  Vehicles will be lined up\, given a “day placard” to be placed on the vehicle dashboard\, and escorted through the Space Force gate to the lighthouse NLT 4:30p.m. The Sands Missile Museum will be open from 9:00am until 5:00pm\, so you might like to come early and enjoy that museum\, as long as you make sure you are in your car ready to convoy to the lighthouse NLT 4:30p.m.  We will visit the lighthouse\, our cottage/museum & gift shop\, the Space Force’s Hangar C\, and return to our vehicles at 5:45 to line up and leave the Station by 6:00 p.m.  Please note:  You may take photos at the lighthouse and in Hangar C\, but are not permitted to photograph as we enter the gate or anywhere else we will visit on Space Force property. \nBring bug spray as the mosquitoes can get pretty bad around sunset\, especially if you are a mosquito magnet like some of us! \nWe hope to make this a festive tour with Christmas decorations/lights on/around vehicles (optional)\, Christmas cookies\, etc.  If you want to decorate your car with lights\, you can get reflective Christmas Car Decorations on Amazon.  Plan to see the Christmas lights and wreath on the museum and lighthouse tower\, and to see the light flash in the tower. \nAs always this is on a “First Reserved\, First Served” basis limited to 20 vehicles\, but no limit to the number of passengers who legally fit in the vehicle; no foreign nationals are allowed. \nIt is very important to remember that when we convoy on Station we must stay together\, with badged escorts spaced among the vehicle.  There will be no deviating from the convoy; we start and stop together. \nTo climb the tower up to the 5th level\, proper footwear must be worn (shoes that have a back or back-strap; no heels or flip-flops) and you must be at least 48” tall. \nTo reserve your space on the date you want\, you must register in advance by emailing cclf-membership@canaverallight.org by the following deadlines: \n21 December convoy:  no later than 13 December 2024 \n28 December convoy: no later than 20 December 2024 \nThe following information is required to be submitted to Base Security: \n\nDriver’s name\nDriver’s DOB\nDriver’s license number\nDriver’s license state of issue\nPhone #\nInfo on vehicle:\n\no   Year \no   Type \no   Model \no   Color \no   Plate number & state of issue \n\nNames of all passengers\nDL# AND state of issue for everyone 18 years & older\nDOB for all passengers\n\n  \nYour reservation will be confirmed by return email. \nRemember:  First Reserved\, First served.  \nThank you for your help in keeping our light shining. \nChristine Ecker\, Membership Chair \ncclf-membership@canaverallight.org \n321.591.5593

DESCRIPTION:The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse is partnering with the Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum and the Sands Space History Center as proud members of the ECAC education program – Education & Citizenship Armed Forces Coalition of the Space Coast.  Students from any public\, private\, charter or home school may come out to visit all three venues together.  The Sands Space History Center is accessible outside the gate to the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station\, but the Lighthouse and Space Force Museum require reservations and special clearance to visit\, though both are included in a single tour. \nFree 3-hour caravan tours are available in June and July on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at 9:30\, and from August through May on the 2nd Saturday of the month. There will be no tours in December.  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED AT LEAST 2 WEEKS PRIOR for the free caravan tour. Please email lighthousetours@canaverallight.org with Subject: “Brevard School Tours”.  Paid tours at other times may be booked on our Visit page.  Discounts may be available.  The Sands Space History Center is free and available Tuesday thru Friday 9-2\, Saturday 10-5\, Sunday 12-4\, Monday Closed.   The Lighthouse\, the Space Force Museum and the Sands Space History Center are unable to offer service hours.

DESCRIPTION:What a time we had celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at the lighthouse in March\, so we decided to connect with a special occasion once again; this time our convoy will be on 6 July\, a late Independence Day celebration!  We hope to have patriotic music\, decorations\, and refreshments in addition to enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the lighthouse property. \nSO…..SAVE THE DATE:  6 JULY 2024 and celebrate Independence Day at the lighthouse (2 days late). RESERVE NO LATER THAN 26 June 2024.  These convoys are limited to 20 vehicles with as many occupants in your vehicle as legally permitted; no foreign nationals are allowed. \nWe will meet at the Space Florida/Space X/Sands Missile Museum parking lot between 3:00 – 3:30p.m. where vehicles will be lined up\, given a “day placard” to be placed on the vehicle dashboard\, and escorted through the US Space Force gate to the lighthouse NLT 3:45 p.m.   We will visit the lighthouse\, our cottage/museum & gift shop\, the Space Force’s Hangar C\, and return to our vehicles at 5:15 to line up and leave the Station by 5:30 p.m.  Please note:  You may take photos at the lighthouse and in Hangar C\, but are not permitted to photograph as we enter the gate or anywhere else on Space Force property as we proceed. \nAs always this is on a “First Reserved\, First Served” basis limited to 20 vehicles\, but no limit to the number of passengers who legally fit in the vehicle. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Christmas in July Drawing & Party at the Rising Tide restaurant in the Port Canaveral Cove\, and potentially come away with $5\,000! This is a fundraiser for the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation supporting goals including rebuilding three of the cottages that once surrounded the lighthouse\, preserving and sharing the history of the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse and surrounding area. DESCRIPTION:Planning has begun!  The date has been set for our 1st convoy of 2023!
