SUMMARY:Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Keeper Grave Marker Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, May 14th beginning at 1pm as we honor six former Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Keepers by placing an official Lighthouse Service marker on their graves across three local cemeteries. Check out the details in the invitation.  Then get directions\, starting at the Crooked Mile Cemetery on Merritt Island.  Parking and the ceremony will be held at the Georgiana Church one block north of the cemetery\, starting at 1:00.  We will then walk to the cemetery where four keepers are buried\, then caravan to the Cocoa City Cemetery and the Evergreen Cemetery to finish the day.

DESCRIPTION:Come see the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse and seven other historic homes for the holidays!  We will be decorating the lighthouse and museum and offering special caravan tours to the lighthouse on three Saturdays in December (12/4\, 12/11\, 12/18)\, as we participate in the annual Museums of Brevard Holiday Tour of Historic Homes.  For one low event price of $60\, you will be able to visit not only the lighthouse but the other seven historic homes in the county.  Tickets go on sale November 1st only through Eventbrite.com.  Only 150 tickets will be sold.  Proceeds benefit the historic preservation efforts of the Lighthouse and the other historic homes. \nPlease note that most historic homes (including the lighthouse) require reservations\, so please call each individually.  Details will be provided at the time you purchase your ticket. \nAccess to the lighthouse is by escorted caravan\, only. The tour runs from 10:00 to 12:00 each Saturday.  You may need to share vehicles\, depending on the number of people in the tour.  The tour may be bumped by a launch\, but none is currently scheduled.  After you purchase your ticket on Eventbrite.com\, be sure to call for reservations to visit the lighthouse at least 7 days before the tour. SUMMARY:Holiday Members and Brick Holders Only Caravan
DESCRIPTION:We are now into the last quarter of the year which means there is one more Lighthouse caravan for our members and brick owners in the future\, and what better time than around the holidays.  This will be a little different from the other caravans because it will be held between Thanksgiving and Christmas. \nSAVE THE DATE:  4 DECEMBER 2021 at 4:00pm!  This will be the perfect time to take a break after a busy family Thanksgiving to relax and see the lighthouse decked out for Christmas.  We even hope to see the light flash prior to leaving the lighthouse property at 6:00pm.  Return to vehicles by 5:30pm to line up for the convoy back off Station NLT 6:00pm.  Remember\, we all leave together and vehicles must be spaced between the escorts. \nWe will meet at the Space Florida/Space X/Sands Missile Museum parking lot at 4:00pm where vehicles will be lined up\, given a “day placard” and escorted to the lighthouse by 4:15pm.  As always this is on a “First Reserved\, First Served” basis.  There is a limit of 20 vehicles\, but no limit to the number of passengers who legally fit in the vehicle. \nTo climb the tower up to the 5th level\, you must have proper footwear (close-toed shoes that have a back or strap; no heels) and be at least 48” tall.  Masks must be worn when entering all buildings including the tower in compliance with CDC and Space Force guidelines.  Hangar C will again be open for your enjoyment.  What an opportunity to experience two different eras of Cape Canaveral history – the lighthouse was needed for safe passage of ships and their cargo\, vital for the development of the state\, and Hangar C is about more recent history showing the early launch vehicles.  Cape Canaveral has so much history; would we even be launching rockets here if not for the lighthouse? \nTo reserve your space\, you must register by emailing Chris Ecker at cclf-membership@canaverallight.org no later than 27 November 2021 with the following information: \n\nNames of all passengers\nDL# AND state of issue for everyone 18 years & older\nDOB for all passengers\nForeign nationals require additional information\, so please notify us for details\n\nYour reservation will be confirmed by return email. \nRemember:  First Reserved\, First Served.  Reservations must be made NLT 27 November 2021.
