SUMMARY:Membership and Brick Holder Tour
DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for Saturday\, 18 September 2021 to meet at the Space Florida parking lot at 10:15 a.m. where the vehicles will be lined up\, given a “day placard\,”  and be escorted to the lighthouse by 10:30 a.m..  As always\, this is “first reserved\, first served.” There is a limit of 20 vehicles\, but no limit to the number of passengers who can legally fit in the vehicle.  If you want to climb the tower you must have proper footwear (close-toed shoes that have a back or strap\, no heels)\, and be 48″ tall. Masks must be worn when entering all buildings in compliance with CDC and Space Force guidelines. \nTo be part of this convoy be sure to email Chris Ecker at cclf-membership@canaverallight.org no later than Friday\, 10 September 2021 with the following information for all passengers: \n\nNames of all vehicle passengers\nDL #\, and state of issue for everyone 18 yrs & older\nDOB for all passengers\n\nYour reservation will be confirmed by return email. \nAs an extra treat\, Hangar C will be open\, so you will not only be able to enjoy the lighthouse and museum\, but also leisurely tour the hangar and see some of the early launch vehicles; a real treat. \nSince September is still rather warm\, there will be cold water available for you at no charge\, and if you would like to bring snacks\, there are some picnic tables on site where you can relax and enjoy them; food and drinks may only be consumed outdoors. \nWe want this to be an occasion where you not only go to the lighthouse grounds but also have time to visit with other members and just enjoy the experience.  Our lighthouse may not be as easily accessible as other lighthouses in Florida\, but we are pretty fortunate that we can actually sit and “picnic” at the site. \nPlan to return to your vehicle by 12:15 p.m. for the return convoy to the front gate.  That gives everyone 1 1/2 hours to visit the lighthouse and museum\, find your brick\, and tour Hangar C\, at a leisurely pace so no one feels rushed. \nFor questions\, please feel free to call me at the number below\, or by return email. \nRemember:  First Reserved\, First Served.  Reservations must be made NLT 10 September. \n— \nThank you for your help in keeping our light shining. \nChristine Ecker\, Membership Chair \ncclf-membership@canaverallight.org \n321.591.5593
